Episode 92:Guests: Chun Jung Myung (actor), Park Jin Young (JYP) (singer, songwriter, producer, CEO of JYP Entertainment (2AM, 2PM, Rain, Miss A, Wonder Girls, etc.)).
Location: Chinatown, Muui Island, Somuui Island, Incheon.
Teams: Jong Kook-Ji Hyo-Haha; Chun Jung Myung-Jae Suk-Gary; Park Jin Young-Suk Jin-Gary.
Episode mission: Deliver the black bean noodle order from the Chinese restaurant.
Order race: Race to take the delivery order. Winners, in order, choose one of three items, only one of which is the real noodles, and depart for the next location.
Wooden chopsticks challenge (Jamjindo dock): From a distance, identify what's inside the delivery container (ramyun, heating charcoal, disposable camera). Dance wearing a step indicator to get closer to see it better (1 step = 1 millimeter). Winners, in order, choose one of three items, only one of which is real chopsticks, and depart for the next location taking the ferry.
Pickled radish challenge (Hanagae beach, Muuido): One team member immerses his head in water while the other 2 wear a paper couples bracelet and find 2 of 2 different items, indicated by the PD, placed in the many bungalows on the beach. Winners, in order, choose one of three items, only one of which is the real pickled radishes, and depart for the next location, ultimately taking ATVs, bicycles, or walking, in order of arrival.
Order claim sticker elimination (Somuuido): Each team receives a Running Man sticker and places it under one member's nametag. Rip off nametags to eliminate other team members and acquire all 3 Running Man stickers to win and deliver the black bean noodles to the customer.
Comments: The bridge they cross to go from Muui to Somuui island might be brand new, as it doesn't show up on either satellite images or online maps. The beach with the bungalows is on the west coast of Muuido.
- Funny: Ji Hyo watched the ep. 90 broadcast (she references Suk Jin's eliminations as being the real start of the race).
- JYP's songs have been used as background music in past episodes, most often The House You Live In associated with Suk Jin getting grief from other members (including in this episode). Miss A's Touch (used in this episode) was also penned by JYP.
- Funny: they actually went and recorded the song JYP came up for the Easy Brothers for this episode. (NB: "Easy Brothers" was coined in ep. 68 and comes from the combination of Lee Gwangsoo and Ji Suk Jin's last names, "Lee" (pronounced "ee" in Korean) and "Ji" (the Korean pronunciation of the English "zy", i.e. Minzy and Suzy are pronounced "Minji" and "Suji")).
- Suspicious: the guests are supposedly a surprise, but there's a short cut that looks like an editing mistake of Jae Suk talking with Chun Jung Myung inside the room where he had been waiting and comes out of, and it looks like it was before the shoot.
- Winning and choosing the real item in the earlier missions don't give any cumulative advantage and are meaningless to the final race, where it's winner-takes-all. Not a big deal, it's entertainment; a minor design flaw.
- The Muuido challenge is similar to the Dorido challenge in ep. 67, which I personally thought was annoying and sadistic, but the idea kinda sorta works better in this episode.
