Episode 128:
Guests: Uhm Ji Won, Park Shin Yang (actors).
Location: Seoul.
Teams: Ji Hyo-Suk Jin-Jae Suk; Jong Kook-Uhm Ji Won-Gwang Soo; Haha-Gary-Park Shin Yang.
"Protect the Bonus" episode mission: Each team is given bonus money from the SBS general manager and has to retain as much as possible by not losing missions.
Yeouido S-Oil gas station* "Matrix" challenge: Collect water sprayed at them in bowls strapped to their stomachs and fill a pitcher above the red line within 40 seconds. Last place team has to pay for gas for everyone's cars.
Shinwol-dong MK Gym* fitness equipment karaoke: Everyone, including crew and staff, orders food of varying prices for lunch. Score at least 90 points using mics attached to fitness equipment. Last place team has to pay for everyone's lunch.
Find the general manager's chairs race (SBS Mok Dong building*): Find one of the six "general manager" chairs and be sitting in it when 30 minutes are up to advance to the next round. Second round: three chairs and 20 minutes. Third round: one chair, ten minutes. Winner gets a chance to multiply total winnings using the lottery ball machine.
Comments: Fitness equipment karaoke was used before in ep. 28 (Kim Byung Man). Cultural note: The screen graphic after everyone orders food shows that Koreans also use the Chinese character "æ£" (zheng) when ordering food with a lot of people. For each person who wants a particular dish, one stroke of the character is drawn. Every completed æ£ character indicates five orders, same as |||| means five. The word itself has no significance, I don't think. There's apparently still no easy way to get the "Matrix" effect (there's no app for it, not yet at least), as all the cameras necessary for it can be seen lined up in front of the gas station challenge (not that I have any special knowledge on the technique). All of the remaining travel by car after the gas station could probably have been accomplished with a gallon, a couple liters, of gas. Not that they knew that, nor is that relevant.
- I usually try to use pictures of the guests, but the "God's eye view" shot from that hilarious scene was just too precious not to use. Even the show's captions point it out. During the final skirmish, you can see a cameraman and an assistant run into the stairwell in the background, possibly going up to the next floor to shoot from there and ending up getting the shot (why else would a cameraman suddenly leave during the climax except someone noticing an opportunity for a shot?).
